About Nikonclassics

why Nikonclassics?

Due to digital technology, photography today has lost some of its magic - let's get it back! They are still there, the good old Nikons! Analog photography has seen increasing popularity again for some time now. And due to the unprecedented compatibility of the Nikon bayonet, the old lenses can also be used on modern digital cameras.

However, older Nikon equipment offered on the used market is often in deplorable condition: many lenses run far too heavy due to sticky grease, or run rough and light because the grease has dried out. Sometimes improper lubrication has caused oil to get on the aperture blades and made them sticky. If camera equipment is stored in a (damp) basement for a long time, mold will readily form between the lenses. The light seals on analog cameras have usually crumbled over time or become a greasy mass. Nevertheless, these cameras are often offered on ebay as "in good condition".

No one likes to work with rotten or unreliable cameras. At Nikonclassics, we have therefore made it our goal to offer only first-class merchandise.
All cameras and lenses offered have been professionally cleaned and carefully inspected. In the case of camera bodies, the light seals and the mirror damper are usually renewed. If necessary, missing parts such as strap lugs, eyepiece lenses and contact protection caps are replaced.
The lenses are tested for proper function, if necessary the focus adjustment is adjusted and re-greased. Dirty aperture blades and internal lenses are professionally cleaned if necessary.

I guarantee 100% functionality and offer a warranty according to our terms and conditions. If you are not satisfied, you can return the goods within 2 weeks without giving any reason and you will be refunded the purchase price. By the way, all offered lenses and cameras are unique pieces, you see on the photos the original article, which you also get.

You can also inspect the offered articles with after appointment in my Berlin office at Bessemerstrasse 16, near IKEA Tempelhof.

Who am I? I have worked for many years as a professional photographer (www.n-michalke.de) with Nikon cameras. In the eighties with the F3, FE2 and FM2, in the 90s with the F4, later digital Nikons were used.

By the way, it is my philosophy that trading with classic cameras requires not only professional skills and experience, but also a high degree of personal trust. Therefore, I deliberately did not focus on growth, but on continuity within a manageable framework. And this is also reflected in the customer reviews.

I hope you enjoy browsing through my store!
